Yes. The General Motors (GM) 1724-A label specification is part of the Automotive Industry Action Group (AIAG) labeling standard that outlines specific requirements for labeling used in the automotive supply chain. The 1724-A specifications are proprietary to General Motors to meet the AIAG’s B-16 guidelines. Other automotive manufacturers may use similar formats as part of the automotive supply chain. In addition to 1724-A, the standard also includes 1724-B and 1724-C. It ensures consistency, accuracy, and traceability in the identification of parts, shipments, and other supply chain elements.

To meet AIAG standards, including GM 1724-A, there are two ways TL Ashford makes it easy.

  1. We have a library of pre-designed label templates to meet AIAG standards for 150+ companies in the automotive supply chain. We provide the label templates to you at no charge under our Software Maintenance Program.
